"I am ready to move Texas and House District 119 forward in an effective and transparent way. I will be your public servant, not a career politician looking for the next best thing. I am a daughter. I am a sister and an aunt. I am a hard worker. I am a loyal friend. I am a person who stands by her words. I am one of you. That part of you that wants to do better and wants us all to thrive.
I am committed to serving our community because I believe Texas and House District 119 need a Representative you can trust.
I am a lifelong resident of HD 119 and understand the daily needs of our neighborhoods. I have spent my entire adult career working in House District 119. My experience serving the community expanded my dedication to lead which is what led me to serve as Chief of Staff in the Texas Senate for many years. I worked in 17 counties across West Texas spearheading constituent cases, developing community based events, and working with local leaders on policies that worked to better serve their communities.
My experience working with local leaders to champion their issues at the State and Federal level is exactly what Texas House District 119 needs in Austin. I am ready to serve Texas and the community with truth, transparency, and dedication.
I am ready to move House District 119 forward in an effective way. I will be your public servant, not a career politician looking for the next best thing. I will not promise to grant favors to political allies or be indebted to special interests. I will never stop fighting for the betterment of our community and for the rights of our families and businesses. I understand the tough issues faced in Austin and I am prepared to work with our delegation to resolve them. But I need your help first. I need your vote to send me to Austin to work for YOU.
I have lived in House District 119 my entire life. I am a proud product of public schools throughout the community. As an adult, I re-affirmed my testimony of how committed and dedicated I am to my District 119 community, and proudly purchased and renovated the home across the street from the house where I grew up. I strongly believe that investment of communities is drawn only from the continuous reinvestment of citizens.
As early as the age of 17, I began working to contribute to my family's needs following the death of my dad, Joe A. Campos. My first job was at the HEB on New Braunfels and Fair Avenue. Staying in the heart of House District 119 was most important to me because I wanted to make sure I remained close to my family.
While developing my career in the legal field, I spent 24 years working as a legal administrator helping to assist families fight for their rights. During this time, I began work as a Chief of Staff in the Texas Senate and was fortunate to serve House District 119 and the surrounding community. Developing this unique perspective allowed me the ability to see just how deeply issues affect the District and daily lives of residents. I learned to build and foster relationships with community leaders and stakeholders to improve the community. I know how to get things done.
