Homelessness

Homelessness is not only a problem in Bexar County and House District 119 but throughout the State of Texas. I have spent the past few years working with our local leaders and organizations to help ensure our neighborhoods and communities are safe and working to resolve the homelessness problems. Many members of our homeless population are struggling to manage mental health issues and substance abuse issues with out resources or a support system. Many are also struggling with barriers to finding jobs, getting to those jobs, and maintaining those jobs. As hard as our community works to help this underserved part of the population, we need more resources and access to resources. I will continue to work hard to make sure everyone gets equal access and treatment.
